The CU Boulder Surplus Store offers furniture, electronics and other items that have come from departments on campus. Sales revenue will be split between Property Services and the departments on campus from which the items have come, with Property Services using its proceeds to offset the costs of processing and reselling the goods. Although the surplus store has been a resource to CU Boulder constituents for decades, it has been accessible only by appointment and during biannual auctions. The creation of a storefront means more material will pass through the doors and generate more income for the distribution center and campus departments while saving shoppers money.
What’s in stock?
Due to the nature of our dynamic inventory, we are not currently able to publish a list of our inventory online and instead highlight items on an ongoing basis. Specialty items, such as vehicles, and large lots are posted on GovDeals. The items featured on GovDeals are sold by online auction.

Sales Terms and Conditions
All items offered by the University of Colorado are sold As-Is/Where-Is with no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied. We make reasonable attempts to make known any condition, of which we are aware, that may adversely affect normal “manufactured for” end use.
The University of Colorado cannot insure nor confirm suitability for purchaser’s final application.
The University of Colorado maintains a strict policy of No Returns or Exchanges. Purchaser understands and acknowledges that all sales are final. The University of Colorado strongly recommends physically inspecting items or equipment prior to purchase.
We offer delivery of items purchased with a CU speedtype for CU departments only. Delivery will be based on a first come first serve basis and on our pickup and moving and hauling schedule. We cannot deliver items to personal residences or to non-CU addresses and locations.
